GET INVOLVED
Volunteers are the heart and soul of A Gift For Teaching. It takes a team of dedicated volunteers to operate the Free Store and they are always looking for new members.
Volunteers ranging in age from 12 years old to 92 years old participate every day with all kinds of opportunities to get involved. From groups to individuals, from team building to building shelves, AGFT is a bright and friendly environment seeking bright and friendly volunteers.

A Gift For Teaching collaborates with thousands of Central Florida and national partners as part of its every day business model.

Building community with more than 6,670 individuals and companies, sharing best practices with a national network of teacher free stores, and creating change with local media, institutions and innovative partners--AGFT is fortunate to be considered a friend to some but more importantly consider so many a friend.

The University of Central Florida is amonst those partners. Each semester the UCF Cornerstone Business students are partnered with organizations such as AGFT to participate in service learning and social entrepreneurial experiences.
​
We are very excited about our opportunity to work with AGFT and hope that we can in some small way make a difference in our community by helping to spread the word and awareness about their efforts.
PARTNERS
A Gift For Teaching's Free Stores are a place of support and inspiration for those in our community who have dedicated their lives to educating children, the future of community.
We know that teachers play many different roles in the classroom. From mentor and friend, to parent and counselor, they know their students' academic needs best, and to effectively improve the lives of children, we must also serve our community's teachers in their day-to-day efforts so they can provide everything our children need for better and brighter futures.
We hope that when teachers walk into one of the three Free Stores and see the variety and quality of products on the shelves available for their students for free, they realize that it is because hundreds of businesses and volunteers in Central Florida value their work--and so does A Gift for Teaching and UCF.
